Oliver John Decorating Contractors (Railways) Oliver John Decorating Contractors was formed in 1989 and joined E&F Group in 1996 to ensure that the shopfitting and interiors divisions had control of final projects¹ finishes that so often become problematical with a compressed programme of works, i.e. fast-track fit-out projects in commercial and retail spheres of business.
Since joining the Group, Oliver John Decorating Contractors has grown in many ways, not only carrying out decorating and façade refurbishment works but also maintenance jobs, covering a plethora of requests from plumbers to drain doctors or blown light-bulbs to floor sockets installations for various clients of the Group. In so doing Oliver John Maintenance was formed in 2004 with a dedicated team to take care of all the aspects of maintenance for all clients of the Group. Not only was the maintenance division formed but also Oliver John Contractors to take care of painting and decorating requirements of the Group and other major clients, in addition to small works in the form of minor refurbishments up to the value of £50,000 once again for various clients.
This left Oliver John Decorating Contractors who in 2001 was approached by First Group to carry out painting, decorating and repairs at various Railway stations for First Great Eastern Railways. We completed these contracts successfully, on programme and within budget. This lead to further work for Great Eastern, First Western, First North Western, Anglian and One Rail; to date Oliver John Decorating Contractors has completed over £3 million worth of projects from the decoration of a single station building in the wilds of rural Essex to the installation of new ticket gates at various locations and to the installation of 'Shere'; machines at mainline Paddington Station.
Oliver John Decorating Contractors is audited and Achilles Link-Up approved Nr. 20583 with a full team of tradesmen and management dedicated to working on railways. We pride ourselves in the quality of our workmanship for all our Railways contracts and take great pleasure in providing a quality and prompt service to the public sphere.
